WHALE WATCHING
A Full-Day Journey into the Arctic Sea
Set sail from Tromsø on a full-day Silent Whale Watching adventure through the dramatic fjords of Northern Norway. This thoughtfully designed experience combines modern comfort with a strong focus on sustainability, offering you the chance to observe some of the Arctic’s most magnificent marine life in their natural habitat.
Travel aboard a spacious, hybrid-electric catamaran built specifically for Arctic conditions. The vessel features heated indoor lounges with panoramic windows, allowing you to enjoy the stunning winter scenery in warmth and comfort. An open deck provides excellent opportunities for photography and fresh air, while a café on board offers food and drinks throughout the day.
As you cruise toward the whale feeding grounds near Skjervøy, expert guides share insights about Arctic wildlife, marine ecosystems, and local culture. Along the way, you may spot sea eagles soaring above or even catch early glimpses of whales. Once whales are located, most commonly humpback whales and orcas, the boat switches to silent electric propulsion. This allows for a quiet, respectful, and intimate encounter with these magnificent animals.
The best time for whale watching in this region is from late October to the end of January, with peak sightings between November and mid-January. During this period, humpback whales and orcas follow the herring migration into the fjords, creating excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing against a backdrop of dramatic Arctic landscapes and low polar light.
The tour typically lasts between 6 and 9 hours, depending on weather and whale activity. While the indoor areas are heated and comfortable, we recommend dressing in warm layers and bringing a hat, gloves, and sturdy footwear if you plan to spend time on deck.

DOG SLEDDING- HUSKY EXPERIENCE
An Arctic Journey of Silence and Connection
Few experiences capture the true spirit of the Arctic quite like dog sledding. Pulled by a team of eager huskies, you glide through snow-covered forests, frozen valleys, and vast open tundra, following trails once travelled by Arctic explorers.
As the sled takes off, the excited barking fades into silence. The only sounds that remain are the soft rhythm of paws on snow and the sled moving gracefully across the trail. In this quiet moment, you feel a deep sense of peace and connection with the wilderness around you.
You can choose to sit back and enjoy the ride with an experienced musher, or take the reins and guide the team yourself. Either way, the experience creates a strong bond between you, the dogs, and the landscape. These loyal, strong, and spirited animals become your guides through the Arctic winter.
Dog sledding is more than just an activity , it’s a journey into the wild, guided by tradition, instinct, and the pure joy of the dogs. Whether bathed in golden Arctic sunlight or under the dancing Northern Lights, this is an experience that stays with you long after the sled has come to a stop.

REINDEER & SAMI CULTURE
An Intimate Encounter with Arctic Heritage
Step into the world of the Sámi, the Indigenous people of the Arctic, and discover a culture deeply rooted in tradition, nature, and resilience. This intimate experience offers a rare opportunity to connect with a Sámi reindeer herder and gain authentic insight into a way of life that has been passed down through generations.
Upon arrival at the reindeer farm, you are welcomed as a guest on Sámi land. Here, reindeer are far more than animals, they are central to Sámi identity, spirituality, and survival in the Arctic. Through feeding and interacting with the herd, you begin to understand the deep bond between the Sámi people and these animals.
Inside a traditional lavvu, warmed by an open fire, you’ll gather with your host to hear personal stories about life as a reindeer herder. These conversations offer a window into Sámi customs, family life, and the seasonal rhythms that shape their world, all guided by a profound connection to nature.
You’ll also learn about the broader story of the Sámi people, their rich cultural heritage, the importance of preserving their language and land rights, and the strength it takes to maintain their traditions in a changing world. Your host may share both joyful and challenging aspects of Sámi life, offering an honest and respectful perspective.
As the fire crackles, you’ll be served a traditional Sámi meal, often bidos, a hearty reindeer stew. Food here is more than nourishment; it is part of the storytelling. You may also experience joik, the traditional Sámi form of singing, where emotion and connection to people, animals, and the land are expressed through powerful, haunting melodies.
This is more than a cultural visit. It is a chance to be welcomed into the living heritage of the Sámi people, leaving you with not only new knowledge, but a deeper respect for their enduring spirit and their place in the Arctic.
